It’s Friday already…fun week here in Pittsburgh. My stamping girls and I had our three regularly scheduled classes on Wednesday and Thursday. And today, I am starting my new Friday night stamping class at our local Pittsburgh Mills Mall Stamping Spot! I am so excited to meet a bunch of new girls who are coming. I am even more excited for the new girls to meet some of my trusted friends who are coming, too. We are at max capacity and ready to have some fun. If you are local…check out my Calendar of Events and join us in the future!

But before class this evening…I get to share my Friday Mashup # 176 Challenge that Sara has for us this week. She has given us a sketch to work with that I did use. She also asked us to do Emboss Resist Technique. I do like that technique but wanted to use something I recently made so I did not mash it up. But that’s okay…I sure hope you play along this week:)

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project using the “Sketch.”
Create a project with “Emboss Resist.”
or Mash it Up! and create an “Emboss Resist project with the above Sketch”.

I recently went to a fun class with some demonstrator friends in Florida where I made this scene with the step-by-step instruction from my friend Pam Stoner- an uber talented artist. I was indeed surprised I did this…you know me…clean and simple…not usually adventurous as I would like but LOOK WHAT I DID!  Now, for some of you- even our hostess this week, Sara who does BEAUTIFUL sponging, it may not be a big deal to do some sponging and ink to paper techniques but this was new to me.

Yep, I did it- just look at that little mountain range in the distance! Now, can I remember how I did it? …time will tell. All I know is I went out of my comfort zone, and was pleased how my first attempt turned out pretty good. I better get some more practice since my girls want to do this…
